John Green received a sentence of seven years at Lancaster Quarter Sessions on 25 October 1815 and may not have been on the ship - his name was crossed off the Convict Transportation Register, and he does not appear in the Convict Indent for the "Fame". There were two other John Greens on the "Fame": John Green who was sentenced to transportation for life at Lancaster Assizes; and John Parrey Green sentenced to transportation for 14 years at Southampton (Portsmouth) Assizes
