Mary was assigned to Mary Reynolds of Pitt St Sydney. Mary absconded from her assigned employer in Jan 1837 but was found the following day. She obtained Ticket of Leave 3 December 1840 Conditional Pardon in ??year




I found much confusion as to who is the mother and who is the daughter - I am 'presuming' the daughter is 'Mary' and the mother 'Mary Ann' - Both mother and daughter are referred to as 'Mary Ann' at different times - 4/6/1834 Morning Post London, England: SURREY SESSIONS.—Tuesday Distressing case of Mother and Daughter.— Mary Greenwood, a fine-looking young woman, aged seventeen, and her mother, Mary Ann Greenwood, aged forty-five, with an infant in her arms, were indicted, the former for stealing a large quantity of wearing apparel. Mary Greenwood and Mary Ann Greenwood mother and daughter both on board as well as five sons and two daughters. Both mother and daughter are referred to as 'Mary Ann' at different times - Sick list of the George Hibbert: Mary Greenwood, aged 17, Convict; disease or hurt, catarrhus. Put on sick list, 25 September 1834. Discharged, 9 October 1834. Mary Greenwood, aged 17, Convict; disease or hurt, ulcus. Put on sick list, 19 October 1834. Discharged, 24 October 1834. This is listed as 'Mary' Greenwood 1840: TOL Penrith Then recommended for a CP 3/4/1841: Listed as 'Mary' on the NSW BDM - married George Chalker at South Creek, NSW. George Chalker was born in 1821 and died 5/7/1893 at Oakhills, St. Marys, NSW, he was the son of William Charker/Chalker (Coromandel 1802) and Elizabeth Shackle/Scheckel (Speke 1808). 7/3/1874: Mary died at Penrith - NSW BDM: CHALKER MARY 7399/1874 WILLIAM MARY A PENRITH
