Family connections for Margaret (Grey) are: GREY Margaret (Grey/Gray) was born about 1804 in Dublin Ireland & became a housemaid. She was tried for theft of a coat at Dublin in 1829 &, with 2previous convictions, was sentenced to 7years. She arrived in NSW as a convict on 13 1 1830 after a voyage of 4months on ASIA; she was Catholic. She received permission, on 25 4 1831, to marry Samuel (Vaughan) and may have done so in 1831 at St Peters CofE Richmond-perhaps his & her first marriage.>>> [Some details taken from this Website] Samuel (Vaughan) was born about 1781 & became a general labourer. He was tried at Warwick Assizes, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 18 1 1812 after a voyage of 5.5 months on GUILDFORD. He was living with Margaret (Byrne) in 1830. He died on 17 9 1837 age56 & was buried at St Peters CofE Richmond.
