William GREY was convicted at Cambridge for horse stealing. Life sentence. 1822. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Caledonia'. Assigned to work service. Numerous records of misconduct and punishments. Ticket of Leave granted. 1837: Application for permission to marry Lucy RABBITS. 24 May 1839: Conditional Pardon approved. 3 March 1843: Free Certificate, no. 26.
