Gloucester Sessions commenced on Tuesday, and a very full bench of Magistrates attended on the occasion. … Joseph Cripps, esq; M.P. taking the chair in the Crown Court, where there were 79 prisoners for trial. At the breaking up of the Court the following were the sentences:— Transportation.— Seven Years. ... Thomas Gribble, for stealing a purse containing 14s. 6d. from the person of Pearce, of Mangotsfield; Bath Chronicle, 22 Jul 1830.
