She is recorded in 1828 with her family at Amprior St Vincents. She died in 1880 age76 at Wagga Wagga from a fall off a windmill-or could this be her husband.] .. [John Richard (Barrett) was born about 1794 in Cork city Cork Ireland & became a sawyer carpenter. He was tried at Cork city in 1817, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 1 4 1818 after a voyage of 5.5months on GUILDFORD; he was Protestant. In 1823 he was moved from Emu Plains to Sydney. He is recorded in 1828 with his family as sawyer for William (Ryrie) at Amprior St Vincents. He received his Ticket of exemption from Government Service no.31/131. GRIFFITHS Jonathan (Griffiths) son of Thomas (Griffiths) & Sarah (Withers) was born on 14 3 1773 at Stone Gloucestershire. He was tried for stealing clothes at Gloucester Assizes Gloucestershire on 16 7 1788, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 6 1790 after a voyage of 7months on SCARBOROUGH. He arrived on Norfolk Island on 7 8 1790 & associated with Elinor (McDonald) whom he later married. He left Norfolk Island on 21 9 1795. He married Eleanor (Neale/McDonald) in February 1796 at Hawkesbury (not shown in Smees records). He was Free by Servitude by 1797. He built & owned boats very successfully. He moved to Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) in 1790s. In 1819 a future son in law convict Robert (Potts) was assigned to him at Richmond. He moved to Launceston in 1820s. He possessed homes both at Richmond NSW & Launceston between which he frequently moved as a trader with his family, & warehouses. He is recorded in 1825 with his wife at Richmond. He was recorded in 1826 as a farmer. He became a bridge builder on Tasmanias North Coast. He died on 1 11 1839 age66 at Port Fairy richest man in Tasmania; more information is on the net, where we are told he married a second time. She was tried for stealing a watch at Dublin Ireland, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 9 1791 after a voyage of 6.5months on QUEEN. She arrived on Norfolk Island on 23 4 1792 & left on 19 2 1796. She was Free by Servitude by 1798. She is recorded in 1825 with her husband at Richmond, although she apparantly travelled frequently with him on his business trips to Van Diemens Land. She died on 28 2 1831 age62.
