Following trial, he was incarcerated in Bury St Edmunds gaol until 7 Feb 1842; transferred to hulk 'York' at Gosport where he is registered on 8 Feb 1842 and discharged on 3 Apr 1843 to board the 'Cressy'. Buried Hobart Public Cemetery 8 Dec 1902
