Edwin was 23 years old and was clerk to Frederick Stocker, a coachmaker - Edwin was to pay a bill that was due and was given £126.6.0 to do so, but absconded with the money. He gave himself up to the police and threw himself on the mercy of the court. 1844: TOL Campbelltown 1/2/1849: COF 1846: Married Catherine Brady at St. John's Campbelltown. 1/5/1847: Edwin was the Campbelltown Agent for Bell's Life, Sydney. I found no death date or further records of Edwin after 1850. 1867: Catherine donated to the flood relief fund - she was living in Pyrmont. 1872: Greville's Directory: Catherine Groberty was a teacher in Gunnedah. 22/9/1880: Catherine appointed to the provisional school at Boerami Creek. 6/9/1891: Probate of the will of Catherine Groberty, late of Rose St, South Sydney, widow, deceased, be granted to Mary and Percy Simpson, both of Sydney.
