395 ton ship. Departed Cork, Ireland for New South Wales, Australia 1809. After leaving Australia, for New Zealand, the vessel was set upon by natives from Bay of Islands and most onboard the ship were massacred (including cannibalization). The boat was captured and towed to Motu Wai (Red Island) were it was totally destroyed.

FIVE POUNDS REWARD. - Whereas yesterday Evening the undersigned was stopped at Perroquet Hill by two Footpads, and robbed of a Horse Pistol, together with the following Bank of New South Wales Notes; viz. one for the sum of £10, one for £1, six for 10s. and two for 5s. all, except the one for £10, being indorsed by T. Colligan : -Any Person giving Information that may lead to the Detection and Conviction of the Offenders will receive the above Reward. Dennis Guiney. Sydney Gazette, 4 Dec 1819. --------------------------------------------------- WEDNESDAY.— Matthew Dace and Robert Parsons were indicted for stopping Dennis Guiney on the Parramatta Road, on the evening of Friday the 3d instant, and robbing him of 14£ 10s. in notes; of which offence being found guilty upon the clearest testimony, sentence of death was passed upon them. Petitioner hath, your Excellency’s Certificate of That Sentence Expired in 1815 and being desirous to become a Settler, Petitioner most humbly solicits that Your Excellency may be graciously pleased to prescribe him a Grant of Land if it be deemed meet in Your Excellency’s wisdom and accustomed Benevolence, Petitioner will as in duty bound ever pray.
