Family connections for Thomas (Guy) are: GUY Thomas (Guy) arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship MATILDA. He arrived on Norfolk Island on 4 11 1791. He had a relationship with Eleanor (Wainwright her fourth relationship) whom he later married. He was Free by Servitude by 1800. In February 1805 he is recorded as a landholder sentence expired off stores on Norfolk Island. He travelled with his family (spouse name Hester (Wainwright)) to Van Diemens Land (Tsmania) on 3 9 1808 as part of the first evacuation (for which volunteers apparantly had been called with appropriate compensation offerred & for which he may have tried to decline as some successful farmers were asked to stay) on CITY OF EDINBURGH, arriving on 5 10 1808. On 21 5 1809 he signed fealty to William (Bligh) Esq. He married Eleanor (Wainwright) on 24 5 1812 at New Norfolk-recorded at St Davids CofE Hobart. On 2 10 1818 records show he may be at Hobart Town. Thomas (Guy) does not have an entry on this Website as yet-added by me. Eleanor (Wainwright) daughter of ??? (Mainwright sic) & ??? (Eccles) was born in 1769. She was tried for stealing clothes at Preston Lancashire Assizes, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 22 1 1788 after a voyage of 9months on First Fleet ship PRINCE OF WALES. She associated firstly (1of4) with James (Wilson his first relationship. She arrived on Norfolk Island on 13 3 1790 with her daughter Mary Anne-see Mary Ann (Field) above. She associated secondly (2of4) with an unknown & produced a child. She seems to have had a third (3of4) relationship with Nathaniel (Lucas his second relationship) & produced 1child. She was Free by Servitude by 1795. As Hester (Wainwright) she travelled with her family including 3children to Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) as part of the first evacuation on 3 9 1808 on CITY OF EDINBURGH, arriving on 5 10 1808. She was at New Norfolk in 1812. She died on 29 10 1842 age42. 2.Elizabeth (Guy) was born on 13 11 1802 & baptised on 24 5 1804 age18m on Norfolk Island. She travelled with her parents as part of the first evacuation to Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) on 3 9 1808 on CITY OF EDINBURGH-arriving on 5 10 1808. 3.France/is (Guy) was born on 13 6 1805 & baptised on 23 12 1805 on Norfolk Island.
