To be transported for seven years: John Watkinson, 30, John Hardcroft, 18, George Webster, 24, John Barker, 33, John Lloyd, 21. ... Gore’s Liverpool General Advertiser. 21 May 1829. and Liverpool Mercury, 22 May 1829.




Original occupation listed as weaver. Eventually became a Squatter, owner of Tinpot Station at Grenfell western Nsw. Married Johanna Cleary and had 1 surviving son Joseph (who never married and had no known issue) and 6 daughters, 2 remained single and 2 married. Most lived in western NSW. His wife Johanna continued managing the property until her death in 1899 when her son Joseph took over though it seems he mostly leased the land to others. By the time he died in 1916 he only had two living sisters.
