CONVICTS.—The following convicts were removed firm the Borough Gaol on Monday morning: —Samuel Haddon, John Stephens, George Lilley, and John Buswell .transported for seven years to the Justitia Hulk, at Woolwich : Leicester Herald, 20 Feb 1828. HADDON.—In sad and loving remembrance of our dear father Samuel Haddon, who died at Koroit on the 21st of April, 1881 (Easter Sunday), aged 78 years. "Farewell, dear father, thy life is past, Our love for you to theend will last. The trial is hard, we will not complain, But trust in God to meet again." —Inserted by his loving daughters, J. Samuel Haddon was 19 years old on arrival and was transported for ‘stealing a pair of shoes off a Stall in the Market place, once convicted of a Street Robbery, 12 mos in Bridewell. Samuel was 5’5 ½” tall, brown complexion, brown hair and whiskers, native place: Leicester, J H and sun inside right arm, ring pricked on ring finger right hand. 3 Bros & 4 Sisters N.P. Leicester all of the same name, I always worked with my father a Master Bricklayer N.P. I was last working for my Brother Thomas Haddon, Single. 1830-1833 Musters: Assd. to Lieut.
