Family connections for Elizabeth (Hall) are: HALL/EVANS Elizabeth (Hall/Allen) was born in 1796. She was tried for larceny at Dover Sessions of Peace Kent, sentenced to 7years, held at Kent Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 29 9 1811 after a voyage of 5months on FRIENDS. She married at age16 Joseph (Hansell his first marriage) on 28 12 1812 at St Matthews CofE Windsor & produced 4children. She died in 1819 age23-childbirth?. [Some details taken from this Website] Joseph (Hansell) was born in 1790. He was tried for breaking & entering, on 18 10 1810?, & stealing gowns etc (laundry) w/others of Robert & Agnes (Sheddon) & Mary (Kemp) at probably Old Bailey, sentenced to death commuted to Life, held at Middlesex Gaol Delivery & arrived in NSW as a convict on 29 9 1811 after a voyage of 5months on ADMIRAL GAMBIER. He had a second (2of3) relationship with Margaret (Sleaford). He is recorded in 1822 as caring for 4children. He married (a 3rd relationship) Sarah (Maloney her second marriage) in 1824. In 1825 he is recorded as caring for 2children including a Joseph age6. He had been a carpenter when he died on 17 8 1828 age38 at Sydney Benevolent Asylum emancipist father of 6children & was buried at St James CofE Sydney. 1810 to 1811 - Elizabeth HALL, alias Elizabeth Allen, was tried in Dover Kent on 24 August 1810. She was given a 7 year term of transportation for the crime of "larceny". Elizabeth left from Portsmouth & arrived in Sydney on the ship "Friends" on 10 October 1811.
