Henry's occupation before transportation was 'Glass Cutter' and he lived in Birmingham. Henry married Catherine King (free settler) at Scone on 17 Aug 1842, as per the Convicts Application to Marry Register; he still had four years of his sentence to complete. English Criminal Register states his crime as Larceny of a Person but New South Wales Convict Arrivals state his crime as Hedging. Others convicted of Larceny at same hearings received between 1-3 months and some were flogged; Henry received 14 years transportation but no information on what was different about his crime compared to others convicted of same offence. Henry's 4th daughter, Louisa, was convicted of the murder of two husbands by poisoninng, and was the last woman hung in New South Wales in 1889.
