John HALL was born 1792 in Durham, England. On 27 February 1814 he stole a black gelding from a stable at Goosepool, Longnewton, England. On the 6th August 1814 he was tried at the Durham Assizes and sentenced to life for stealing a black gelding and transported to Australia onboard the "Baring". John was 5 foot 9 3/4 tall, with ruddy complexion, brown curly hair and hazel eyes. In 1817 John was sentenced to 3 years solitary confinement on bread and water. After his release John settled down with Ann Amelia ANDREWS, another convict who arrived onboard the "Mary Ann". John was granted a conditional pardon on 1 October 1848. He died in 1858 in Yass, NSW, Australia.




Given permission to marry convict Amelia Ann Andrews, and they married in Liverpool, Sydney on 20 March 1820.
