WATERFORD SPRING ASSIZES. The following are. the convictions as our late assizes: COUNTY COURT. John Geary, pig-stealing — to be transported for seven years. - William Guiry, Ellen Guiry, Rodolphus Pahy, William Hamilton, and Richard Rielly, Larceny—to be transported for seven years. .., John Dogherty, James Ryan, Patrick Cormack, James Devine, Thomas Power, and Patrick Daniel, robbery, sentence of death recorded. Waterford Chronicle, 17 Mar 1832 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Rodolphus Pahy and William Hamilton were found guilty of uttering a base sovereign to Catherine Dwyer, Cappequin, the 19th of January. It appeared the prisoners were part of gang who perainlmlate the several fairs in the county for the purpose of purchasing pigs and cattle, for which they give counterfeit sovereigns and shillings in payment. They were sentenced to be transported for 7 years. Waterford Mail, 14 March 1832.
