Henry's crime was to steal a furnace.Forth offence but he appeard at Taunton Castle Somerset Assies on the 08/08/1835 on another charge and was held over until 12/10/1835 when he was given life. His brother was sentenced onthe 08/08/1835 for stealing a hankercheif no prior convictions and given 14 years.




Standing Convict No:36-1309 Indenture:170 Age at Transportation:20 He was able to read and write Described on the manifest as a Protestant. Complexion: ruddy with a slightly pock-pitted face: brown hair brown eyes Description: thick nose, burn mark on his right wrist and a wart and a scar on his back forefinger right hand. He has a "L" tattoo upper and a "H" tattoo lower right arm and two scars on the back of his left thumb, scar on the outside of his right leg.




Henry Hancock married Mary Ann Crosby/Crosbie on the 8 November 1853 and died in Bundanoon, New South Wales on the 21 July 1872
