William was 19 years old on arrival. 7/5/1841: Scone - absconded from Ward Stephens - £1 reward advertised. William was described as: Carter - age 23 - from Cork, (although he was living in Perth, Scotland), 5'8 1/2" or 5'10" tall, ruddy and freckled complexion, dark brown hair, dark grey eyes, large scar left side of forehead, breast and arms freckled, both elbows dislocated. 11/6/1841: Apprehended.
