He is my 4th Great Grandfather and married Margaret Edwards in 1800, based on research through ancestry

Sainty & Johnson; 1828 Census of New South Wales: [Ref H0411] Hannibus, John Sr. 58 free by servitude, Ganges, 1797, life, labourer to David Horton Pitt Town. Margaret is not with John and is listed elsewhere [Ref H0456] Hannabus, Magt, 46, free by servitude, Britannia, 1798, 7 years, Catholic, washerwoman, Jos. Burns Parramatta. Several of the children are also listed separately with their familes.

In the colony, John formed a relationship with Margaret Edwards (Convict, Britannia, 1798). There is no record of a marriage but it would appear that one may have taken place. Margaret and John had 7 children.
My mother Eileen Voce who volunteers at the Tiverton Museum, Devon Records Office in UK has been researching the village of Halberton in Devon for many years and came across a John Hannabus, transported on the Ganges. His crime appears to be theft of the Easter offering from the vicarage in Halberton. Her research differs from yours in that initially he was sentenced to death but commuted to transportation on 3rd August 1792. Your records state he was convicted on 30 June 1792 to term of life. This looks like it is taken from the ships records 4 years later than the conviction rather than from the actual Devon Assizes records which my mother used. In Australia it is not clear if he was released on arrival or later on, but he does marry a Margaret Edwards later and settles in Pitt Town, NSW dying in 1847. My mother would have the sources or contact her via Tiverton Museum
