From Roscommon Ireland. 5' 6" grey eyes dark hair and complexion Patrick Hanning in the 1828 New South Wales, Australia Census Protestant working for Captain Wright of Newcastle. New South Wales, Australia, Tickets of Leave, 1810-1869 for Patrick Hanning Ticket of leave butts. no 34/1002 dated 8/11/1834. Allowed to stay in the Maitland district. Note on ticked stating TOL torn up as holder reported dead in a letter from PM Maitland ref 43/382. Also P P 25/7/1839 per P M Maitland letter of 16 July New South Wales, Australia, Tickets of Leave, 1810-1869 for Patrick Hanning Butts of ticket of leave passports, 1835-1869. No 39/232 dated 25/7/1839. Note states Employ himself at Liverpool Plains in the service of Mr Richard Scougall for 12 months on the recommendation of Maitland
