PUBLIC NOTICE POLICE OFFICE, HOBART TOWN, 25th Feb. 1818. WHEREAS ... John Harvey, a convict, about 5 feet 5½ inches high, fair complexion, about 27 years of age, was sent from Sydney in the brig Elizabeth Henrietta to Port Dalrymple. … have absconded from Hobart Town. All Constables and others are commanded to use their utmost Exertions to apprehend and lodge them in into Custody; and all Persons are cautioned not to harbour, shield, or maintain the said Of- fenders on Pain of the Penalties that will thereon ensue. Hobart Town Gazette, 28 Feb 1818.
