THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE OLD BAILEY CHARLOTTE HARMAN. Theft; theft from a specified place. 31st December 1838. 496. CHARLOTTE HARMAN was indicted for stealing, on the 1st of October, at St. Marylebone, 5 shawls, value 5l.; 6 aprons, value 13s.; 1 ring, value 7s.; 1 pair of ear-rings, value 10s.; 1 brooch, value 6s., 1 bracelet, value 6s.; 1 breast-pin, value 1l. 4s.; 4 gowns, value 5l.; 2 veils, value 2l.; 55 yards of lace, value 1l.; 2 nightcaps, value 4s., 1 handkerchief, value 1s. 6d., and 5 shifts, value 10s.; the goods of Mary Morris, in the dwelling-house of John Hunt; to which she pleaded. GUILTY . Aged 21.— Transported for Ten Years.

1846 - Departures. 19 October 1846 Robert Hitchmough & Charlotte Hitchmouth From George Town per Ship: City of Sydney. Bound to: Sydney 1850 - Possible Death of husband Robert Hitchmough. Geelong Advertiser. Wed 27 Nov 1850. Page 2. MELBOURNE. AN INQUEST had been held on the body of a man of the name of Robert Hitchmough, a hawker, at the Richmond Punt. Hotel. From the evidence it appeared that the poor fellow fell down in a fit while plying his vocation and was picked up by a woman quite dead. A verdict in accordance with the evidence was returned. 1852 - 22 March 1852 Marriage. Native of Glostershire, 21 years old when sentenced at Central C Court 31st December 1838, transported for Larceny in a dwelling house. Gaol report: House of correction before physical description: Height w/out shoes: 5' 1",complexion: Ruddy, Head: Long, Hair: D Brown, Visage: ?, Forehead: Medium, Eyebrows: Black, Eyes: Hazel, Nose, Mouth & Chin: Medium. Remarks: Small mole top of nose 31st October 1834, marriage permission approved to marry Robert Hitchmough. 9th December 1844 Charlotte Harman & Robert Hitchmough were married in St Johns church Launceston.
