In the colony, Teague commenced a relationship with Mary Wade (Convict, Lady Juliana, 1790), whilst they were both on Norfolk Island C1792. They did have possibly 4 children but the actual parentage of some of these is in doubt. Edward joined the Brigantine "Fox" and went whaling in 1806. By 1806, Mary had started a relationship with Jonathan Brooker (Convict, Atlantic 1791). There are at least 6 children to this relationship too. The ages of the children and their respective surnames does cause confusion. It would appear that whilst Teague was away whaling, Mary may have initially lived with Jonathan and then this arrangement became more permanent.
