John Harris was convicted at Middlesex, London on 13/05/1833 for obtaining money under false pretences. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'John" 2, arriving 01/12/1833. Gaol Report: a swindler Ship Surgeon's Report: good Married, wife Sarah at Mile End. Assignments in Colony. Free Certificate no. 408 1840.
