Folios 17-19: Mary Harris, aged 30, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, dysenteria, pain of abdomen and very frequent desire to go to stool, her bowels have been a little loose since coming on board; put on sick list 17 November 1829, convalescent 5 December 1829.

Mary Harris was 30 years old when she arrived in VDL, transported for stealing a copper kettle. She had convictions for drinking and thieving and a felony for which she received 1 month imprisonment. She was married with 1 child and she could read. She had dark blue eyes, brown hair, and was 5'3 1/2" tall.30/4/1830: Hammond/Neglect of duty yesterday - no one appearing to prosecute although warned she is placed in the assignable class in the House of Correction. Dead - Inquest held 28/9/1831 at the female House of Correction, Hobart.
