John Harrison was one of a group of conspirators known as the The Cato Street Conspirators. In 1820 they had plotted to murder all the British cabinet ministers and Prime Minister Lord Liverpool. A police informer reported the plot and 13 were arrested, one policeman was killed during the arrests. Five of the conspirators were executed as traitors by hanging & beheading, five others were transported to Australia.
