On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. Catherine was a widow with three children. When transported she left her three children with her late husbands brother Thomas.Her daughter Mary Ann was also transported, to NSW, for the same offence. Catherine re-married, to William Whitehead, also a convict, 05/03/1827 at Port Arthur. She had quite a history at hobart and is listed in the book,'Notorious Strumpets and Dangerous Girls'
