The Convict Indentures state that Bridget Hartford was 30 years old. She could read and write; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of County Dublin. She was a cook. Bridget was convicted of stealing a cloak and shawl at Dublin City on 19 January 1838 and sentenced to 7 years. She had three prior convictions and served 7 months, 7 months and 6 months. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 4 inches; complexion brown; hair brown and eyes blue. Transport number 151 and Prisoner number 149-39. Received Certificate of Freedom in 1845 (no. 45/1254)
