Francis Hartlin, alias Harkins, per Candahar, F.S., tried at Hobart on the 18 Mar 1871, offence vagrancy, sentenced to 6 months, native place Shropshire, 59 yrs old, 5 feet 5 inches high, greyish hair, scar on left cheek Also tried at the House of Corrections on the 15 April 1871, for misconduct, sentenced to 14 days. Tasmania Police Gazette, 6th Oct 1871, p162. Prisoner discharged from HM Gaol, during week ending 2nd & 6th Mar 1872. Francis Hartlin, per Candahar, F.S., tried at Hobart, for idle & disorderly, on 16 Oct 1871, sentenced to 4 months, native of Shropshire, 60 yrs, 5 feet 5 inches high, brown hair, left hand crippled. Tasmania Police Gazette, 8th Mar 1872, p44. Prisoner discharged from HM Gaol, during week ending 22nd & 26th June 1872.
