Convict Notes

The trial had two defendants, Harvey for thr theft and Mrs Lloyd for recieving stolen property. Harvey tried to claim she had been given the teapot she had taken to help her out with debts (10 shillings back rent). She does seem to be the source of the information that the teapot had been passed on to Mrs Lloyd (who had initially said she didn't have it). The jury found Harvey guilty but acquitted Mrs Lloyd.
