IN VDL: 19 February, 1853: On arrival in VDL, he was listed as convict #27718, a slater, 24 years old, from Edinburgh. He said he had been transported for stealing clothes. he had three previous convictions for theft and one for uttering base coins (https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON33-1-114$init=CON33-1-114p150). 8 November, 1853: Thomas Haughie received his Ticket of Leave. 30 July, 1861: He received his Certificate of Freedom. --00--
