One woman and 7 children died on the voyage. At least 2 children were born during the voyage. The Surgeon Superintendent was Dr Wylie, R.N. and the Matron, Mrs Evans. The Arabian arrived at Hobart Town, February 25 1847.

Eliza Hayes was listed as 24 years old on arrival in VDL - her native place was Cork County, and she was transported for 'stealing shoes'. Eliza was 4'8½" tall, sallow complexion, dark brown hair, grey eyes, freckled, illiterate, 5 years on the town. 30/6/1848: Permission to marry John Curtis (William Jardine 1844) - both in private service, residing in Hobart - approved. 7/8/1848: Married John Curtis 28, a labourer at St. George’s, Hobart - Eliza was listed as 24. Children: Daughter CURTIS born in Hobart district, TAS, 5 July 1852 Son CURTIS born in Hobart district, TAS, 28 July 1853 Serah CURTIS born in Franklin district, TAS, 9 September 1857 Daughter CURTIS born in Franklin district, TAS, 17 January 1859 Daughter Catherine CURTIS born in Franklin district, TAS, 16 March 1861 Daughter Margaret CURTIS born in Franklin district, TAS, 16 May 1863 Daughter CURTIS born in Franklin district, TAS, 30 May 1865 12/2/1850: Assigned to Mr Curtis, her husband: Fully committed for Trial. 2/3/1850 The Irish Exile and Freedom's Advocte, Hobart: Margaret Higgins and Eliza Curtis stood indicted with having on the 31st of January last, stolen -one: waistcoat, valued at 5s. and one handkerchief, valued at 2s. the property of William Knight. Plea, not guilty - both found not guilty. The Chairman then cautioned the female, Eliza Curtis, against indulging her pernicious propensity for drink, which had evidently been her principal fault through life. 26/3/1850: TOL No date of death found.
