John Spicer and Thomas Walsh, have been capitally convicted, Waterford Assizes, City Court, for robbery, but recommended to mercy. In the County Court, Edward and Margaret Halloran, Margaret Hayes, for burglary and robbery have been found guilty. Roscommon and Leitrim Gazette, 10 Aug 1822. The High Sheriff of the County of Waterford has received the Lord Lieutenant’s Warrant, respiting, until further orders, the execution of the sentence of death given at the last Assize against William Brien, James Brien, Michael Walsh, Edward Halloran, Margaret Halloran, and Margaret Hayes.
