Spouse: m 1827 Catherine Walsh. ------------------------------------------------------ Sydney Gazette, 9 June 1810. PUBLIC NOTICE. SECRETARY'S OFFICE, 9th June, 1810. The Persons whose Names are inserted underneath, and who arrived in this Colony in the several recited Ships under which their Names respectively appear, have obtained Certificates from His Excellency the GOVERNOR, of their being restored to all the Rights of Free Subjects in consequence of their Terms of Transportation being expired; they are therefore henceforth to be respected accordingly. By Command of His Excellency, JOHN THOMAS CAMPBELL, Secretary, Anne, 1801. - William Hayes -------------------------------------------------- Although the date of the ship Ann is not correct, this may be the same William Hayes: 1828 census at Bathurst. Householder, Wm Hays, residence Burrawa, 20 miles N.E. of Bathurst. William Hayes holds 600 acres, 20 cleared, 9 cultivated, 1 horse and 260 cattle, also holds other land. William Hayes, age 58, catholic, Free by servitude, per Ann, 1799, 7 years, Farmer & Grazier, at Burrawa. Hugh Brannan, age 45, F.S. per Boyd, 1809, 7 years, labourer, catholic. Jeremiah Sullivan, age 40, C. GS., per Guildford, Life, Labourer. Catholic. Henry Gordon, age 22, C.G.S. per Mangles, 1828, 7 years, labourer, protestant.
