Limerick Assizes. Michael and Winifred Hayes, for stealing a pig, the joint property of Denis and Patrick Ryan, guilty; to be transported for seven years. Limerick Chronicle, 19 March 1828. (Michael Hayes was transported per Governor Ready, (1829) ------------------------------------------------------------- Monday seven female convicts under sentence in the City Goal since last Assizes, were transmitted on a car to Cork escorted by a guard of the 32d Regiment, preparatory to transportation. They were comfortably attired in new beaver mantles and entirely new dresses. The names of the above are Alice Kennelly, Ellen Ryan, Margaret Grady, Ann Cavenagh, Bridget Neile, Winifred Hayes, and Mary Cregan, Limerick Chronicle, 28 May 1828.
