At the assizes for this county, held, at Taunton, Thomas Dibbell, Richard Yendall, and Mark Flicks, for housebreaking; Stephen Haynes, George Lane alias Wyatt, and Richard Somerton, for horse-stealing; Thos. Pearse, for highway-robberyat Weston, and on the banks of the Rennet and Avon-canal; and George Counsell, for stealing two oxen;- received sentence of death, but were reprieved.
