Hayter pleaded GUILTY Richard Lowe.U live at No.74,Turnmill-street.I let a lodging to the prisoners on the 23rd I or 24th of February-they left on the 14th of March without notice;I got into the room and missed the property stated;I.had left them both out on the Saturday night with a bundle a basket. Daniel Painter. I am an officer.I apprehended Hayter-the property had not been found. Rawlin's Defence.I know nothing of the robbery-this woman knows so;I took nothing out of the room. Hayter pleaded GUILTY Elizabeth Clark.I am the wife of William Clark;we live in Great Sutton street,Hayter came and took my lodging on the 25th of March -she asked if I would let her husband look at it;Rawlins stood opposite;she beckoned him up -he said."My dear do ya like the room"she said"Yes-it was 4s 6d.If I find sheets and 5s.if I don't"they came in the same night,and were there all the week;they went in and out several times -Hayter came on the Saturday evening,about six o'clock and said"Is my husband here"I said No:she said"What a lucky house your's it's-my husband has met with a person who paid him half a sovereign,and am t have another presently,and will pay you"the articles stated were my property,and were all lost.
