Transportation
William Head was transported on the Active, Albermarle, Atlantic, Barrington, Britannia, Mary Ann, Matilda, Salamander And William And Ann, departing 31st Dec 1790 and arriving 9th Jul 1791 with 1265 passengers.
The Third Fleet consisted of 11 Vessels. Active, Albermarle, Atlantic, Barrington, Britannia, Gorgon, Mary Ann, Matilda, Queen (from Ireland) Salamander and William and Ann. These vessels were provided by a private company; Camden, Calvert and King to ship convicts to the colony.

On Thursday was committed to the City Gaol, … William Head, on suspicion robbing the house of the Rev. Dr. Smith (lately mentioned our paper). He was apprehended in consequence of information given by Isaac Levi, to whom he offered several silver for but that honest Jew, who has before given proofs of his integrity, speaking to his wife in Hebrew, sent for a constable, and by this means, he was apprehended. At the same time, James Head was committed for receiving the spoons, and knowing them to be stolen. Norfolk Chronicle, 19 Jan 1788.




Robert Wm. and Richard Turner were sent under a guard, from the Castle, to the Hulks, at Woolwich, to conveyed board ship bound for Botany Bay, for life. At the same time, Michael Newhouse, Wm. Head and Stephen Allen, from the City Goal, for seven years. Norfolk Chronicle, 28 Nov 1789
