Catharine HEALY was convicted at Limerick on 21 June 1850 for receiving stolen property - cashmere. Previously imprisoned for 2 mths for potatoes. A widow, aged 60 yrs. 7yr transportation sentence and sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Blackfiar' arriving 29 May 1851. Housemaid (unfit for service); aged 60yrs; 5' 1/2"; Roman Catholic; dark complexion; grey hair; Hazel eyes. Native Place: Limerick, Ireland. No family relations recorded for her. VDL: 5 June 1851: at Brickfields 8 June 1851: at hospital No remarks noted on her Conduct record.
