Born Caroline Hedger, she used Elizabeth (her sister's name!) for her second appearance at the Old Bailey. Unfortunately for her a Police Officer testified that she was the same felon tried the previous year as Caroline. She reverted to Caroline once free to marry Thomas Earl, another convict.
