Roger (Rody) HEFFERNAN was convicted at Tipperary in Ireland on 5 March 1840 (7 yr sentence) and transported to New South Wales, Australia per the ship 'King William' 1840. Assigned to the Maitland district, NSW. 21 Jan 1848: Granted Certificate of Freedom. Married Mary McDONALD. (REF. Maitland Pioneer Register)
