Mary Hare was put forward charged charged with stealing of Tobacco from Mr; Michael McMahon of Kilrush. Michael M‘Mahon sworn.—He deposed to having lost the tobacco, but did not see her take It. Henry Taylor, Policeman, swore that he saw the prisoner near M'Mahon’s door with a parcel under her arm, and she was subsequently taken up by another. Serjeant with the tobacco in her possession. Guilty. Kerry Evening Post, 29 Feb 1832. ENNIS ASSIZES. Summary of convictions up to Monday evening:— … Timothy Ryan, Buckley M'Tege, and Mary Hehir for larceny—to be transported for 7 years each. … Kerry Evening Post, 3 March 1832.
