Susannah Heney was transported on the Margaret, departing 1st Sep 1838 and arriving 5th Jan 1839 with 170 passengers.

Built 1829 at Chepstow. 365 tons. Female prisoners were transported to New South Wales on the 'Margaret' in 1837, 1839 and 1840. The 'Margaret' was the last convict ship to transport female prisoners to New South Wales. Another voyage to Van Diemen's Land in 1843. The Convict Indentures state that Susannah Heney was 24 years old. She could read; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of Lurgan, County Armagh. She was a laundress. Susannah was convicted of stealing money at Down on 6 March 1838 and sentenced to 10 years. She had no prior convictions. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 1 1/2 inches; complexion fair, ruddy and dark and freckled; hair dark brown and eyes grey. Transport number 129 and Prisoner number 127-39.
