Family connections for David (Hennessy) are: HENNESS/EY David (Hennessy) was born about 1796/9 & became a carrier. He was tried for robbery at Cork co. Ireland in April 1817, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 1 4 1818 after a voyage of 4.5months on GUILDFORD; he was Catholic. He was an emancipist when he married Catherine (Owen) on 4 12 1826 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. He was Free by Servitude by 1828 when he was recorded as a tanner with his wife at Parramatta. [Some details taken from this Website] Catherine (Owen) was born on 18 12 1809 & baptised on 22 4 1810 at St Johns CofE Parramatta. She is recorded in 1828 as Protestant with her husband & brother Hugh at Parramatta. Details of Catherine (Owen)s family are given in entry for Hugh (Owen MARQUIS CORNWALLIS 1796) on this Website. David (Hennessy) & Catherine (Owens) produced at least 1child: 1.Jane (Hennessey) was born in 1828.
