Moreton Bay Convict Records. Henry Brockley, per Speke 3, tried Middx G.D., 6 Apr 1826, Life for Retg. from Transportation. Gen servant and carman. To remain at Moreton Bay during his sentence. Returned to Sydney 26 Aug 1837. Description Record: Henry Brockley, native place, London, age 23, 5 ft 5 ¾. Fair comp, lt brown hair, one blue eye. ------------------------------------------------------------------ This was the second time that Henry Brockley was transported. In December 1820 he was tried at the Old Bailey for stealing a watch from the person, and was sentenced to be transported for Life. He arrived in VDL per Countess Harcourt in 1821. Before Mr. Sergeant Arabin. 577. HENRY BROCKLEY was indicted for feloniously being at large, without any lawful cause, on the 28th of February, at St. Martin in the Fields, before the expiration of the term for which he had, at the delivery of the King's Gaol of Newgate, holden for the County of Middlesex, on the 6th of December, in the 1st year of His present Majesty's reign, been ordered to be transported, against the statute.
