Libraries Tasmania Online Hulk report was good and surgeons report was very good. Appropriation List - on arrival was 4' 8" age 17 described as a boy but was a shoemaker 9 months Conduct report - Was placed in solitary confinement for various periods up to 10 days for insolence disobedience. 23/1/1841 for lazieness and disobedience received 25 lashes and again 12/2/1841 for being absent without permission/ 9/1841 6 months hard labour for being absent. 25/3/1843 another 6 months hard labour for being on the race course after having been warned. Old bailey Online (D o B from here) 1652. HENRY GOODEY was indicted for stealing, on the 28th of June, 1 handkerhif value 1s., the goods of man whose name is unknown from his person. THOMAS LONG . I am a watchman, and of St. Andrew's Holborn. On the 28th of June I was in Holborn and saw the prisoner and two others following a gentleman—I saw the prisoner take the handkerchief from the gentleman's pocket—I crossed, and took him with it—the gentleman came to the watch-house but would not leave his name nor address—he said it was his handkerchief. EDWARD EATON . I am watchman. I was on duty, and saw the prisoner and two others follow a gentlemen—we ran over—the prisoner had the handkerchief—he threw it down, in and he had the handkerchief were taken to the watch—house—the gentleman would not give his name Prisoner I throw myself on the mercy of the Court. GUILTY .* Aged 15— Transported for Seven Years.
