The ship then sailed to Port Phillip, Victoria but was refused entry and so sailed on to Port Jackson, New South Wales arriving there 24 Dec 1849. 1855 voyage: departed Portland, England on 19 April 1855, arriving Fremantle, Western Australia on 18 July 1855. 260 convicts, 1 death. The ship also carried 30 Pensioner Guards and their families.

Convict Notes
FORGERY AND UTTERING HENRY SHUTE, lately a barrack sergeant in Paisley, was charged with forgery, in so far as on the 1st day of March last he did write, or cause to be written, upon a blank bill stamp, a bill draft, or order for £80 sterling, bearing the date, "Barrack Office, Paisley, 1st March, 1847," and to be addressed to Her Majesty's Paymaster General, Whitehall, London, and adhibiting the name or superscription of Donald McDonald, barrack master. Prisoner plead guilty of the uttering only, and after a severe admonition from Lord Moncreiff was sentenced to 10 years' transportation.
