Michael Henshaw, for maliciously shooting at Rich. Owens, a watchman, in Liverpool.—Guilty —Death. James Henshaw, Alexander Duncan, and John Glegg, for breaking into a counting-house at Liverpool—Guilty. 7 YEARS TRANSPORTATION.—Michael Henshaw pleaded guilty to the same charge.  Chester Chronicle, 12 April 1816.  It is a melancholy fact, that out of 74 prisoners tried at Lancaster assizes, only 18 were acquitted; and of the 56 convicted, 24 received sentence of death. The Judge was pleased to reprieve the whole of those prisoners condemned, with the exception of Michael Henshaw for maliciously shooting, and John Jones for forgery.   Carlisle Patriot, 20 April 1816.
