Mary HERON was convicted at Liverpool, England for stealing money. Previous convictions. 10yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Garland Grove' 1841. Single woman; aged 22yrs; housemaid/nursery maid; 4'11 3/4". Native Place - Waterford, Ireland. Work assignments in the Colony. Ticket of Leave granted. Several records of misconduct. 24 April 1852 Free Certificate 19 Mar 1849: Application for permission to marry - to George HOOPER (transported per 'Clyde'). Permission granted 8 Jan 1850.
