1829 - Waterloo's first voyage arrived at Sydney Cove 9 July 1829. 180 Male Convicts. 2 Died on voyage. 7 sent to the hospital on landing. Total mustered; 171. Stephen Addison - Commander Michael Goodsire - Surgeon Superintendent [His wife was a passenger] 1842 - The Waterloo voyage of 1842 was wrecked on 28/8/1842. 189 people drowned, these being 143 convicts, 15 men of the 99th Regiment, together with 17 wives and children, the boatswain Mr. Chiverton, the sailmaker, the carpenter and 11 of the crew. Convicts were then received in Cape Town Prison from the wreck of the Waterloo, 2nd September 1842. They then completed their voyage to VDL per “Cape Packet” which arrived on 23/11/1842.

POLICE INTELLIGENCE. Head Office.—House Robbery Mr. Geoghegan’s stores, at the rear of his house, in Leeson-street, were entered between seven and eight o’clock on Friday night, and robbed of a large quantity of harness, some carpets, and other articles. The robbers got in by scaling the garden wall. Peace Officers Prender and Fenton, on Saturday morning, took two men, named Henry Hyett and Thomas Hutchinson, who were selling harness in Kevin-street. It proved to be part of what was stolen from Mr. Geoghegan. The two fellows are fully committed. Saunders’s News- Letter, 27 Sept 1830.
